Understand your waiver you sign

The couch was delivered and was a couple of inches to wide and so i was asked to sign a waiver to take the front door off of my apartment, the company did drape one side of the door but to my inderstsndong y would i purchase a new coucj just for it to be damage on 8/9/18. Call the company all they would say you sign the waiver and all they know was I could have damage the item myself. Yeah right!!!! Then i sugguest that it would be in good business practice just to fix the couch. My first instinct was to go get information on the laws for picketing or start a boycott. I will probably never step foot back into that store or even recommend it to any friends and family.
