Underhanded sales pitches and undervalued degrees.

I could almost testify the same as the above post...I'm retired Air Force. After speaking to a counselor one time and filling out some paperwork; in no time flat, I had a whopping student loan and eventually, a Masters of Education Curriculum and Instruction. I was proud of my degree; it was the hardest thing I had ever achieved academically. But now I'm embarrassed to tell anyone I graduated from AIU; especially on a resume, job application or even a social media profile. I'm thinking anyone who has a pulse on academia has heard about AIU's issues. If a class action is formed, please include me. I think I can dig up all the BS paperwork and emails as evidence of how AIU is scamming hard working citizens and veterans out of their monies. l***************@gmail.com Reason of review: Pricing issue and devalued degree. Monetary Loss: $24000 Preferred solution: Full refund. I liked: The course work; the ability to complete everything online; the since of accomplishment. I didn't like: The hard sell, looking back on it. The cost, and the underhandedness of it; the counselor led me to believe that the cost would be minimal. He assured me that I would get "all kinds of financial aid". Maybe I was naive but I thought he meant grants not loans. In fact, the paperwork I filled out which he sent me I thought was a grant application.
