Unauthorized shutdown of debit card

Great Western Bank shut down my debit card on multiple occasions without any notification or authorization. Each time, I have contacted GWB to determine why this was done. Today, during their verification process, I provided my personal details to the customer service representative. The representative said the social security number I provided was incorrect -- even though I provided the correct SSN. I was told I would have to go to a bank branch and show photo id to get my debit card reactivated. It is not currently possible for me to do this because I am in Mexico for 3 weeks. Now, thanks to an unexplained reason for my debit card being shut down, I am not able to access to my account funds, use ATMs or make purchases. In my case, Great Western Bank DOES NOT make life great as they advertise. They have created a nightmare and a very dissatisfied soon-to-be former customer. User's recommendation: DO NOT BANK HERE!
