I accepted a 3-day "free" trial membership from Mate1.com in March. They requested a CC number for "ID" purposes. Without express authorization from me, on Marcg 8, 2012, Mate1 charged $49.95 to my VISA debit card, processed by CCbill.com, which I disputed with my bank. Then, after my bank refunded the transaction price, on June 11 Mate1 AGAIN processed the same transaction my bank cancelled! Mate1 is treading on very shaky (AND SHADY!) ground. I am considering this latest transaction as fraudulent, and reporting Mate1's fraud to law enforcement through my banking officer.
