Unable to get any response either on line or by phone

We were booked on the Portsmouth to Santander service in May return August however our outward journey was cancelled, and we were given a credit note. Our return journey was not cancelled however we were in the UK so unable to use it. We changed our unusable return journey for another outward journey in September but have been charged a huge cancellation fee and currently can't book any ferry crossings in December. I have been unable to get through on the phone and none of my email complaints has been answered. I am currently left with a crossing at almost double the cost of a normal booking, a credit note and no current means of booking a return journey. User's recommendation: Do not book on line as the on line systems are not flexible.
