Do not go here if you want to see a doctor before a 8 hour wait. Just had this experience last night with my step son 10/15/18 we waited for 8 hours before he finally saw a doctor. They were rude and uncaring. The worst hospital/emergency room experience in my life. I will never go back to UAB emergency room there are plenty of other hospitals that employee staff that care and are concerned about the patients. My step son was suffering from a abscess in his mouth during the time period we waited to see a doctor the abscess burst causing infection and blood to come out of his mouth all they did is give us paper towels for him to drain in. Then he started running a high grade fever he was freezing with 2 jackets on; I asked for a blanket and was told no they do not give out blankets until he sees the doctor this is after an 6 hour wait another 2 hours before he got the see the doctor worst experience.
