Trying to donate Guest Miles

When the Koala Appeal was current , tried to donate Guest Miles and failed. I am now trying to donate Guest Miles to International Covid 19 Appeal and am failing. I log on, go through the system , get a 'number', enter the number only to receive a message that the number is incorrect. This has happened several times , both for the Koala and Covid appeals - what am I doing wrong??? Please clarify.
