Our beautiful, 7 year-old 60" Kafe XL ceiling fan refuses to change direction of rotation from 'winter warming' to 'summer cooling'. After reading troubleshooting steps, fan does not respond to directional change using either the (WCS 212) wall switch or (TR110a) remote (with new battery). No blinks on down light after holding 'stop' button over 3 seconds. Other than that, we love the fan (I'm NOT a pissed consumer) Question: IF 'reverse' button was pushed during fan rotation, do I need a replacement receiver ? Your thoughts are appreciated.
