I ordered a supply of checks from an ad in the Sunday paper. Did not recall the name of the company (Styles), thought it was a new one. After about a week, I got a telephone call from them, saying that I owe them $47.63! I asked how could that be - I had sent my payment and did not order anything extra! The person said that offer is only for new customers and that I had ordered from them before. I was very surprised to hear this and asked when I may have gotten their checks before. She said in 2004! I did not examine 15 years of records and honestly thought I was a new customer. She then said they could make it half and I would only have to pay $23.+. I said no and that the price I initially paid was fair. After a long pause, she then said they could settle for me paying $10.00 more and "that way you won't have to destroy the checks, since they already went out." I said no again and that I do not want to pay any more than what I already paid. If they can't do that, then I want a refund. She said then I have to destroy the checks when they come, they will be un-usable, and they will issue a refund. This was really unbelievable, shocking. I am now waiting for the checks and my refund. I just hope they can't access my account and do anything...
