We recently visited Destin Fl and paid $4 cash to get on the island and $4 cash to get off the Island. I felt like this was an extremely high toll to pay. the real kicker is that 6 weeks later I get an invoice in the mail with a picture of my car saying that I didn't pay my toll getting on and off the island so I now owe and additional $4. This is ridiculous and of course since you pay in cash you have no proof so you have to pay it. It's only $4 but what if they are doing this to everyone. Heck of a way to get a road paid for very quickly. Don't go to Destin, Fl. Traveler beware!
