Too many “fail to show-” days

2

I had to depend on help to prep me for travel to VA medical center-mpls on next day/or travel that evening. It seems 1/3 of my PCAs have last minute home emergencies, and do not show up. Many time I do not get a call telling me and I wait for a NO ONE COMING. The can do a better job for having a stand by PCA to fill in. When the wonderful RN I had retired, the new one was a few weeks and then took a medical leave for months...so my RXs we not set up for me. The housekeeping help lack smarts and skills on laundry and cleaning aids. Most are welfare rejects. Last one was sweet and trying, but always left me waiting on a dryer load to make my bed. I am trying Senior Friends Healthcare...as telephone staff at interim lacks care about their service to clients. This is a franchise that milks the pay, so diecent goes elsewhere. They are always loosing people, They gave me some help with unkempt persons that lacked many basic needs. Must have been from the poverty placement. centers. Their BEST people from from rural areas and ar good workers. But once again ... too many family emergency issues cause them to cancel. I had a wonderful RN for 9 years who subcontracted to intermin. My bill increased by $100 a visit....and she was NEVER GIVEN A RAISE. She was so afraid she would be cancelled. She just wanted to make 62 yrs social security and retire.
