To have a rental is to have an issue..
Here is what I have endured in the last four weeks with two rentals, and a third that fell through: 1. I made a reservation on a Sunday and was told that scheduling would call me back to get a better pick up location. They never called, and by then the one location that had been opened was closed. I never got a trailer. 2. A supervisor told me that she would give me a credit of $50 by email for my issues--to use for my next rental. When I tried to use it, it was not in my email. I had the local agent call them, and u haul couldn't get the credit to go through! The local agent was nice enough to cover them, and give me the credit. 3. The next rental, I tried to call and ask a question about whether I could use a different tow vehicle. I held for 44 (forty-four) minutes. Someone picked up, but would talk--I could hear background noise. So, I tried u haul chat. No one responded. These things are in addition to many issues in years past. My solution? I'm buying a van next week, so I don't have to mess with these bozos anymore. User's recommendation: Use Penske or Ryder if available in your town.
