Tire rot on my Michelin tires
1
On Jul 9, 2015 I bought 4 Michelin tires. I lived in Lawrenceburg, Indiana at the time. I bought these tires through Tire Discounters in Lawrenceburg and their invoice # is 189****. The mileage at that time was 130,105 and the warranty was for 70,000 miles. David King is the manager and I purchased these tires through him directly. In December 2018, I moved to Canton, Georgia. I took my car to an NTB shop to have my tires rotated and aligned on Thursday, April 18, 2019. They called me and told me my tires have dry rot. I was quite surprised and extremely disappointed because I always believed that Michelin was the best tire I could buy. I have been on social security for 5 years, but I chose to pay the big bucks for the tires, because of their reputation. When I went to NTB for the service, my mileage was 146,702. In 4 years, I only put 16,597 miles on my car. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. I paid over $700 for these tires, and didn't even reach 20,000. I believe I should be financially reimbursed for these tires, as I now have to buy another set of tires for my safety. I have photos of the tires, receipts, etc. should you need them. I also, would like someone to contact me regarding this issue on how to proceed and what Michelin is willing to do to help resolve this issue. My information is; Kathy Sweeney, 508 Creekshire Circle, Canton, GA 30115. My phone is 404-403-****. Email, kathysweeney@***.net
