...under the guise of stipulating you must use the cards within 45 days. I purchased 2 gift cards (Pier One Imports & Build a Bear.) I gifted the first as a house warming present. You can imagine my embarrassment when she told me there was a zero balance on the $150 gift card when she tried to check out! My sister in law contacted card cash herself and I was refunded. One month later, I was excited to take my daughter to Build A Bear for her birthday. Upon checkout, lo and behold, the card has a zero balance!!! This is more than a coincidence. This is criminal behavior. I contacted card cash and they responded by sending me the guidelines for the 45 day protection period and told me I was out of luck (and $80.) Question: who buys something from a company and should EXPECT that it will be fraudulent and useless after 45 days? How is this honest businsss practice? I am disgusted and will be pursuing this as far as I can before this company continues to pray on Googlers like me who, unfortunately, failed to do their research.
