one of many cookie-cutter tech support scam operations out of India. they use the existing infrastructure for legitimate support centers to fly under the radar, pay their operators the equivalent of $60USD/month to work long hours, and the boss man gets rich off of scamming old ladies in the USA out of their pensions. the operators do it because it does pay more than most legitimate call center work, and they have lower standards, and jobs are very hard to find there... the operator gets MAYBE a 1% commission whenever he scams you out of cash, the bossman really is the only person who makes out. this part of the world has so many of it's own problems that it completely lacks the resources to address that there isn't any forcing them to fix this... they do occasionally go after the worst scammers pulling IRS scams, but it is relatively safe work for them, and almost pure profit, with very low overhead. they also take great care to protect themselves against chargebacks... even if they lie to you, they will game the system in a way to record you agreeing to something with none of the lies included, or they will trick you into paying via a method that can't be charged back. majority of their money comes from scamming the elderly, repeat "customers" that they call and scam over and over
