I do not have a warranty with this company but I do work for a auto repair shop that calls this company quite a bit for my customers. Being the auto repair shop working on customers vehicles, my customer is who I am working for NOT the warranty company. So I would say 3-4 years ago I had a customer that had this warranty and I called them and they proceeded to do there deal of well we need to come look at it, so ok that is fine since I knew that they would come to the same conclusion as we did and would have to cover it. So they send a "mechanic" there version of a mechanic that knew less than my 10 year old out. And he wanted to tell me that they would not cover so I argued with him that he did not know what he was talking about and under the warranty they should be covering it. So ever since that day this warranty company has let my customers aware that they will not work with us. Or they tell them that they would have to pay me and then they will reimburse them, I have even had customers tell them that they do not want to take there car to a different shop, and that they paid for the warranty and should be able to take there vehicle where ever they choose. Still would not allow unless my customer put money up first, so some have sent it to the dealership where of course it was a higher price. I am not writing this so they change there mind and don't have me blackballed with there company, I am writing to say that the people that bring there vehicles to my shop to be repaired are my customers and I will argue every time if I have to. these warranty's are thousands of dollars and I can read them very well to know whether they will cover what my customer brings there car in for or not. I just wonder why they are not the warranty company's priority since they are also a customer of there's and have paid quite a big amount for the warranty. They should not get to dictate where or how your car gets repaired. I had one argue with me this morning about getting a Transmission rebuilt, vehicle would not go in reverse the only mechanical thing that that could be is a Transmission. Which he said it could be I can't say for sure I asked him that 5 times. Next day my customer was at my shop telling me the warranty would take care of the repair if he took it to Dobbs. REALLY so he would not tell me they would cover it but told my customer that they would as long as you take it to where they say.
