BUYER BEWARE!! After going to the ROY TEITSWORTH auction house in Geneseo, NY and examining several necklaces advertised as "gold chains", I purchased the items for thousands of dollars in their online auction. The chains were all stamped 14K Italy except one. After speaking with a jeweler I felt safe because they were stamped with the official 14K gemological mark. A short while after buying the necklaces, I took them to a gold dealer and found that they were nearly worthless counterfeits. I then contacted the auction house who promptly and rudely told me that because I signed their terms of sale agreement statement they would not refund my loss. They seemed to be completely unconcerned that they had ripped me off. I have good reason to believe that they knew the necklaces were fake because of statements they made. I have researched the laws concerning the sale of counterfeit gold and have learned that they have broken at least two federal laws. This also seems to be of no concern to them. So, I am left with no choice but to take legal action. These people appear to have no moral conscience and have proven more than willing to rip you off if they can. I would hope that this review would encourage good people to avoid doing business with this money hungry, immoral company.
