GTEFCU started to charge monthly fees to keep checking accounts with them. There are ways around the fees, like having salaries deposited there. But since I don't have my salary deposited, I get the fee. Not only that, my wife's and son's account get charged. So we pay about $15 a month for the privilege of letting them use our money. I thought GTEFCU worked for its members but it seems like the model now is to exploit them. I have many of my bill payments through my GTEFCU account so it will be hard to quit. They are thieves!
