They lied about the service and did not find the leak and cost damage

,I hired the company to find a leak in my pool. They claimed I hired them to do a pressure test only but I hired them to find a leak on my pool and spent numerous calls with Nicole in the office explaining the pool and I needed to find the leak and ask for a direct quote to find the leak. She quoted me a flat and firm $550.00. I told her another two companies charge a lot more, so I was definitely clear that I was hiring them for a complete leak detection, and they were not going to leave until they found the leak. She told me they always find the leak and this was their fee. When the person got to my house he put a piece of paper in front of me and I only saw the signature line. I have no idea what I signed, and I was never given a copy of anything nor allowed to read anything. He claimed it was needed to start the leak test. I thought I signed a paper just giving the authorization to find the leak. He told me after I signed the paper I would have to pay $200 an hour more after two hours. I told him this was NEVER disclosed to me at the start. I told him if there was going to be any other charge I was not interested in using them, and he assured me he would find the leak and call the office and let them know that I was not going to pay anything else but what I agreed to over the phone. So I thought everything was agreed upon that there would be no other charges to find the leak except perhaps for labor once the leak was found to fix it. I only agreed for him to start finding the leak after our conversation. I wasn't too concerned and assumed they would spend as long as they needed to find the leak at that stated price of $550.00. I felt that after speaking to Nicole on three occasions before hiring them and told her my pool was leaking 1 1/2 each day that this fee covered finding the leak and she assured me they always find the leak. I let her know my pool person did dye test but he was not a qualified leak company and needed to find the leak. She was very friendly on the phone and she assured me they will find the leak in under two hours and this would be the only price I would pay which was $550.00. I told her I contacted two other companies and their fees were much higher. We talked in detail on three occasions prior to them coming out and there was never a mention as to any extra fee except perhaps to repair the leak once it was found. She claimed they use listening devices and have sophisticated equipment hearing equipment. They had no equipment nor used any equipment when they were there. After two hours of only pressure testing only a portion of my pool no leak was found. He didn't take out the lights in the pool, nor did he pressure test my water fall or rock wall he could not find anything except what he said was a minor leak on my spa. Steve the technician told me if there was still a leak to call me and he would come out for free to look again. I called the office to complain and left a message on their machine after waiting two days per Steve to so if his minor fax worked. No one called me back so on Monday I spoke to Nicole the original girl who I spoke to on three occasions explaining how she misled me and I was not happy with the service. Nicole said she spoke to the owner and that Since Steve said he would come back for free him and the owner would come back that Friday to see what they could do that would be a free service. I felt reassured they would do the right thing. Right before they were to come out a lady who claimed she was the owner spoke to me for 40 minutes. I once again explained the situation in detail to her and she assured me her company would do the right thing and come out for free to try and find the leak and the owner would be there. That morning another owner called. He was not too nice on the phone his name was Bud the owner almost accusing me of something. I was frankly after his attitude nervous for them to come but agreed because I felt they would do the right thing. They agreed to come out a second time for free. He sent Steve back who was here for 2 and 1/2 hours before BUD arrived. Still he could find no leak. The owner finally arrived at 11:45am. I felt well they still didn't find the leak. Right before they left Bud kept complaining they were loosing so much money because he was doing this service for free and he was trying to do the right thing but was so anxious to leave they couldn't get my filter to prime. They spent 40 minutes trying to get it to work again. I couldn't believe it. I was nervous at this point. Finally, it primed. I was nervous when they left because they took the caps off my motors to the water fall and rock wall telling me they want to see if that was the problem so they disabled them to see if that would stop the leak. They assured me all I had to do was prime them and close the lids and they would start up properly. So they left and still no leak was found. Only the next day I found out they were extremely negligent. The next day nothing worked on my pool. Nothing primed. I tried to turn on my spa and it wouldn't get hot so I called Bud and told him they must of done something because the spa wasn't working he said it was nothing they did. I said no one else did anything but them. He said he would send someone out for free to try and see what was wrong and then I never heard back from him. When I didn't here back from them and no one was returning my calls I called my pool person who opened my pool within 2 minutes he showed me that American Leak detention company left the plugs in the spa and he removed them and got my spa to prime. I had to pay his $150.00 service fee. I waited two more days to see if any leak had stopped it did not so I wanted to run my waterfall and rockwall. I spent two hours trying to get them to prime to no avail. I called American Leak Detection and told them what was happening. I told them I had to hire someone on the spa because they were negligence and what were they doing to do to help trouble shoot the other prime issues. He said not his problem and got belligerent of the phone threatening me. So I said ok then lets deduct the price from the $550 on the pool service I have to pay to fix his negligence. He threatened me verbally on the phone and told me he was going to now bill me for the additional three hours they spent coming back. This is a horrible company. Do not hire them. They do not stand by their job, they don't put anything in writing. AWFUL experience the worst I ever experienced. User's recommendation: Never use this company.
