They Lie!

I got a loan from Prosper in March 2019. I have never been late on a payment. I opened a new checking account and contacted Prosper to remove my old account and add the new account. In September the payment was processed through the old account causing it to overdraft. I contacted Prosper and spoke with a customer service representative who said that they could see in the records where the new account was added, that the old account was supposed to be removed but could give no explanation why it had not happened. The representative told me to make another payment from the correct account and that they would send a refund request for the payment that hit the old account. I did receive that refund. Prosper then told me to send them a copy of my bank statement showing that their error caused an overdraft fee. I had to wait a couple weeks for the statement to be available and then sent it to Prosper. I received an email on October 11 as follows- Prosper Client Services (Prosper Marketplace Support) Oct 11, 11:50 PDT Hello {{Name Redacted}}, Thank you for taking the time to send in the requested documentation. We have submitted the request for the reimbursement of the $29.00 overdraft fee applied to your bank. Please allow up four business days for the funds to be visible back in your bank account. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. For further questions or concerns, you may contact Customer Service at 866-615-****. If you need anything else, reply to this email or give us a call for any other questions or concerns. Thank you, The Prosper Team I had not received the refund as promised and replied to the October 11 email on October. I did not receive a response until November 5 where they are now stating that the refund request was denied. They also said it was for a claim with a date that was not correct. Their customer service is lousy and they are liars. This was caused by their error and they do not care about their customers or customer service at all. I will not do business with them ever again.
