I went to the Root Cellar at Lake Gogebic, the meal was ok, but then the waitress gave both of my kids refills on their fountain drinks and never asked just filled them up and then there was a second full price charge for the additional sodas of almost 3. dollars on the bill. Whats up with that. I wont be going back for a long time if ever. The waitress acted as if she was doing us a favor waiting on us. Why would she think she should get a tip for service like that. I bet my husband tipped anyway. I had to ask for a kids menu for my daughter, not that it was good, she asked for popcorn chicken, more like over fried cardboard. Ok, this is the UP of MI so maybe it's off the beaten track, that much more a reason to do a good job. Your customers are your bread and butter. Treat them right. Customer comes first and even if you have to act, act like a good waitress. people should stop tipping this poor service or it will keep happening. I hope my husband reads this.
