Had lunch with friends today at Cheddars in Memphis on Germantown Pkwy; the orders were taken and when they came out guess what my order was not correct, so the waiter goes back to the kitchen supposedly to get my order as the manager herself was making it so I waited patiently and guess what the order came back out and was still not right so I boxed it up to take home because everyone else had finished their meal. When I asked for the check he ran up the receipt and I gave him my Visa card he took the amount that was on my card plus the tip which I did not authorize as I gave him cash tip. I returned to Cheddars and talked with the manager and she told me since the card was a Visa card I needed to retrace my transactions. When I returned home I did exactly that and trace my transactions for the card. The record showed that the waiter had taken his tip and my physical tip that I had given him so he walked off like a fat cat with double monies. His services as a waiter need to be improve as he got orders wrong in the first place. So you know what it will be awhile before I visit that establishment again and If I do go I will be sure to use cash instead of a credit card an I will inform friends to look out for this type of scam.
