The check was deposited, but did not clear from my account

I had given the check to my family member as a gift for Christmas. Each has deposited the check to their bank. I have made an inquiry with my children and they told me it has been credited to their account (Capital One Bank) on 12/30/2020. Unfortunately both of these checks have not cleared my account. I have made inquiry, but did not get any response. This is very surprising and unusual.
