The check is in the mail – NOT!

1

We booked a cabin through VRBO in Oregon for tour days. We were going to spend the time with our adult son and daughter-inlaw. We bought the insurance well in advance. In the meantime, shortly before the trip, our son had a very serious medical emergency that resulted in a long hospital stay that took place over the time of the planned trip. I went through all of the ridiculous paperwork and demands of the insurance company and finally they approved the claim. Now they have been telling us that they mailed us the check and we should wait 10 business days. That was almost a month ago and we still do not have the check. We got an email asking us if our former address is our current address. We never used our former address in any of this correspondence. This sure looks like a scam.
