Testing….Testing…. “We Don’t Like to Operate”

A Florida Mayo Clinic cardiologist appears to be a death watch observer. He prescribed no less than 15 mostly unrelated tests (including audiology), listened to my heart and patted my right leg once, declared a good circulation, despite the fact that the left leg was swollen, purple and numb. Net: A tumour of "uncertain behavior" was found on the right side of my back in 2015 and again in 2016. No biopsy or follow-up. Two very young interns, residents or just what ever they were told me to keep watching it for 6, 9 months or a year or so since "we don't like operating there". Being no owl, watching this tumour was quite difficult. Alas, there now is another tumour, this one quite solid in my left breast. Do I dare go back to the Brotherhood of Mayo, which treats patients according to their donations and wealth? Not if I want to live! Being a Medicare patient, albeit with supplemental coverage entitles me to inferior and teaching tool care in the Mayo Clinic and perhaps many other US medical systems. Mayo Clinic is open about its privileged system: Professional care for the wealthy; training and teaching subjects for the up and coming beginners. Medicare needs to step in, ease a way out of this poverty stricken disadvantaged institution or diligently pursue any medical discrimination with legal action.
