Terrible produce/poor employee morale

1

We want to continue shopping at the Randall’s in Austin on W 35th street because we can walk to this store. Unfortunately the produce is to say the least lacking. We’ve bought watermelons that are old and when we cut into they pop open are mealy with little or no flavor. We bought wrapped carrots today and when I washed them, they were limp and decaying at the ends. We also purchased black berries that included moldy berries hidden from the packaging. This has been true with moldy strawberries and avocados and onions. I’ve complained to the produce manager and was told to return the produce for a refund. Who wants to carry a watermelon back? And, it’s likely if we do we won’t be able to find him. The managers if there is still one at this store and the checkers are treated as a commodity rather than valued employees.
