An Aflac representative came into our job and my coworker who has had cancer 2 times over a decade ago got the platinum package. She got cancer again. When she spoke to her rep, Robert, he ensured that she will be getting her $6,000 in 4 days (March 6th is when it should've been received). Today the 19th, she's been non stop calling the past few weeks. Speaking with Aflac customer service due to the fact that she has not received her money. They tell her everything is fine and then next day there is another issue. She sent over all her claim form with all of the documentation needed. She then today called to speak with a manager, Melinda. Melinda was talking in circles, and not giving her a straight answer of when she will be receiving the money. Melinda pretty much said she will not getting paid. So then my co-worker spoke with the first rep who she originally told she had cancer before and he said no problem if she got cancer again she'll be covered she'd be getting $6,000 plus partial reimbursement for medical testing, hospital, doctors, etc. As of right now it's just a back and forth between the rep, herself and the manager. No one is giving her a straight answer. And she feels like shes been flat out lied to. She is having surgery in 2 days, Shes getting the run around, and will be out of work for weeks. My co-worker is 66 years old. For her to be dealing with Aflac 2 days before her surgery is absolutely outrageous!! She is already stressed about this surgery and now this?!!?
