My tourist friend has forgotten a mobile device in a store, and was unable to find it when returned to the location within a hour. Next day, he was informed about a possible finding, but later apologized for the error, and the device found was not his. Then, my friend requested security footage of the store for the time window, questioning suspicious behavior of the staff; however, the management has informed him those recordings were not available to the public, trusting that he was foreigner and would have to take it. Apparently, the cameras inside the store were for the benefit of TJ Maxx, and they had no interest in cooperating with customers. User's recommendation: Watch your belongings inside TJ Maxx.
