Late last january we arrived for a one month stay in litchfield park, arizona. I visited the local lifetime fitness club and was told by the assistant sales manager, kevin ripley, that I could take out a 30-day membership. When I found that I was still being billed through my credit card company after returning to calgary alberta I emailed mr. Ripley and he replied that I should send him my membership card and he would see to the cancellation right away. When, in fact, further monthly fees were deducted from my credit card I again emailed him but received no response. At that point I called their customer service who did tell me that there was a policy of cancelling memberships for members who moved away to areas that have no lifetime franchisee, which is the case for calgary. However, I still have not found a way to deal with this issue with the company.
