We have used La Quinta hotels for several years and have had no real reason for complate. We recently stayed in two locations Wyndham Richmond doswell VA This location was filthy dirty tiles in reception, hall carpets dirty and badly stained, decoration shabby at best. The room was filthy and in desperate need for renovation. The bath was dirty and scratched, the shower curtain was discussing , it had black mold on it, the door frame was rusty and rotten, the tile grout was dirty, there were unsealed holes in the wall and the rest of the room was shabby at best. We could not us the bathroom. As I attempted to checkout I could not find any staff and there was no breakfast out at 6.45. A staff member then turned up looked and acted like he was asleep, checked me out and had nothing to say at all with the exception of OH when I told him about some of the room problems. We left at 7.00am and there was still no breakfast out. Ive been in the construction industry for over 40 years, 30 of those specializing in risk assessment specifically bacterial risks primarily around the plumbing systems and overall hygiene. This is a badly ran and operated hotel and I will be passing on my comments to the local and state health authorities
