My family and I rented a 16’ moving truck and vehicle transport trailer on 3/25/19 am. Almost $1400.00 for one way to Oregon. Loaded truck and trailer on 3/25/19. Woke up to hit the road on 3/26/19 am, flat tire (bad valve stem), I bought one, replaced it and got on the road. Transmission slips bad because the truck is old. 5 mpg. Trailer tires blow out at 4:30 pm 3/26/19. Waited 5 hours in the middle of NM nowhere. Tow truck driver takes trailer to Roswell, NM and parks it in his yard. My wife and I had to puddle jump three vehicles to Roswell, NW until 1 am. Lost two hotel bookings. Cancellation penalties incurred. Luckily found a late vacancy at Roswell Hotel. 24 hours later and we still haven’t received our trailer. Forced to get another *** hotel in Roswell. As of 3 pm on 3/26/19 , additional cost incurred $372.00 and 1.5 days of drive time lost. Things happen...I get that, but the customer service we have received has been hostel. And we still have 1600 miles to go !!!! I will NEVER use Budget again. My company travels constantly and I will be strongly advocating for a a Budget boycott.
