We purchased a sectional which was delivered a few weeks later. Upon delivery we noticed one of the end-pieces was damaged and the wedge was not delivered. Because of the damage to the end-piece we were told we should accept the piece rather than load it back on the truck. We were also asked to sign that the sectional was delivered and did, however, we wrote a note on that document stating the damage to the end-piece and the non-delivery of the wedge. Two weeks later the wedge was delivered, however, it left a huge spacing between the wedge and the piece it connected to. We were told to contact the customer care department and did. They sent out a representative who agreed that the two pieces should be replaced and he put it in his notes. After worrying about possible issues in dealing with the store's service we decided to place a dispute with the credit card company. They looked into it and said there was nothing they could do since we signed stating the furniture was fine. Obviously, the paper they received had the notes we wrote either whited out or cut away and copied. We were then charged the amount of the furniture. After contacting the store again we were told the pieces will be delivered in a few weeks. Five months later we received the delivery however, the wrong end-piece was delivered and the wedge left an even larger gap. My wife had asked the delivery men to put the old pieces back since they were slightly better. Their response was, "We don't have time for that! We have other deliveries to make!" They both walked outside with us thinking they were going out to bring the old pieces back when we heard the truck start and they took off down the street. My wife tried to stop them, but they refused to come back. At that point we called the police who stopped them in town and encouraged them to make the switch. They came back and swapped the pieces. Meanwhile, I was on the phone explaining the situation to the store manager and I was told she would have to call me back since "the store just got busy."
