Store Closing “Sale”/ Liquidation

2

Just found out a few days ago that this company has gone bankrupt for the second time in a year, and now they are actually going to pull the plug on all of their 261 locations by mid to late August. Anyway, I had some unused store credit/ gift cards from a previous return. Anxious to spend it before I lose it, I headed over to my location which is 35-40 minutes away in another city. When I got there, literally the whole store was picked through and almost empty. Scrambling to just spend my gift card, I ended up purchasing only one item. Mind you, this was supposed to be a store closing sale, but they were only offering a 25% discount off regular prices. Ended up paying nearly $40 just for one purse at their so called sale. Disappointed that they were so greedy, could have offered a better discount. I have paid far less than that in the past shopping there when they had better sales, clearance and coupons. Not worth going back since all of the stores are emptied out. By the way, all sales are final. They are even getting rid of their furniture and fixtures. Literally selling everything. Giving lower ratings than normal because their closing sale wasn't a good deal to me. Just bought something because I had to. Needless to say, this is a shame because I really enjoyed shopping there in the past, kind of bittersweet that they are closing for good.
