Still paying for a phone that no longer is working.

I had to change my phone number in 2017 because of a phone stalker. Because the old number was still under contract, Viaero is making me continue to pay for this contract. The decision to get myself a new telephone number was mine, but it was due to a stalker who would not stop hounding me. The stalker was reported and the police suggested I change the number. I am a full time student with a part time job, a single mother with 3 children. I do not have the money to pay the extra amount and am requesting Viaero please refund the money I have paid to date for the continuation of the defunct contract. I have been a loyal customer of Viaero for years, and would appreciate (1) a response in a timely manner, and (2) a refund equaling the total amount of the overpayment I have made to this contract. If I do not hear from you by December 15, my lawyer will be contacting you.
