My car had been transported by Ms Agarwal Packers & Movers on 23rd September 2008 from Chennai to Ahmedabad to be delivered in Vadodara. The car got damaged in a road accident in Vadodara while transport company carrying out the delivery of the car. There are two parts of my complaint: 1) Why I was not informed about the accident and secondly while carrying out the legal formalities why I was not into confidence which is a clear violation of my right being the owner of the car. 2) I was verbally assured by the company officials that the transport company will pay for the balance amount if any incase the actual bills for repairs exceeds the approvged insurance claim. The actual bills for repairs stands at Rs 41428/-, copy is with the local office of the transport company. This is now denied by the company and I was aksed to pay for the bills for repairs and get the car released and I have to be satisfied by whatever monies I receive from insurance company.
