Upon closing we did our walk through, so many things were wrong. We contacted Shea to have these items addressed and taken care of, but were given the run around for months. The companies they subtract the work out to are very unprofessional in their workmanship! Quality of the products does not match the price you pay for a house. Finally was able to get one of the Shea brothers to come to our home. We showed him the very poor workmanship in the house, Gil Sheas response was It May not be morally right but its industry standards! A owner of the company says that to a new home owners! Very lazy workers, and to supervisors are afraid of the owners. They are afraid to make things right for the homeowners because they are scared of losing their job. Just walk into one of their models and look closely at the workmanship from the walls, floors, paint, trim and youll see what your getting for your money. Shea has NO problem taking your money at closing, but try to get them back in to do warranty work...Good luck! The Shea promise on their website is a total lie!!!! Dont waste your money buying a Shea home. Their answer to every fix is we will just put some caulk on it. Please pass the word to others and dont waste your time or money buying a Shea home!
