A few weeks back Nature Valley made their box of chewy granola bars on sale (5 for 2.99ea) and so I bought 5. Low and behold I was a victim of product shrinkage strategy by big business. At first, each individual wrap bar had 3in. of airspace in the wrapper length wise. The width was the normal 1.5 in. or so. In the same box, the next bar also had the short length but this time the width was significantly less; about 1in width. Nature Valley is following the strategy of flooding the market with mixed size product and will ultimately change to the short and skinny bars hoping that consumers will not notice or acclimated to the new smaller size. Now they are back to full price a box with the smaller size; definitely will not be buying them again. User's recommendation: Do not buy unless they are really cheap.
