Slows down PC

Since installing Bitdefender plus 2018 my PC is EXTREMELY slow. Google chrome tales 5-10 mins to load. I never had this problem with Mcafee antivirus. It took 30 mins just to submit my problem to their online support, it says its gathering information. I submitted 2 requests but Support never responds.
