Update by user Oct 26, 2018 The return process was so cumbersome that I wound up throwing it out along with the $30 I spent on the coffee maker. I had to give away over $40 worth of coffee K-Cups. Proctor Silex wanted me to cut the cord from the back of the maker, take pictures of me before I cut the cord and after I cut the cord. I was to then send them these pictures through their website and only then would they send me some reference number and instructions on how to return the maker. I found that to be too much trouble and I suggest no one ever buy products from Proctor Silex. Maybe years ago this brand was synonymous with quality products but that has changed. Original review posted by user Sep 26, 2018 After purchasing this product I purchased about $35 worth of K-Cups. One was the Dunkin' Donuts K-Cups, Starbucks K-Cups and Magnum K-Cups. I was able to make a cup of coffee using the filter basket but I never got 8 or 10 ounces of a cup of coffee. The other major issue is that when I tried using any of the above K-Cups all I got out of the maker was clear water and some grinds. I started calling on 9/24/18 and after being on eternal hold I used their call back system. Needless to say no one called my back. I called again on 9/25/18 and after staying on hold for 30 minutes someone answered. I explained the situation and she asked if I followed the instructions. Really, pour water, snap in K-Cup and press brew. I told her I had. She then told me that it was possible that this coffee maker was not compatible with any of the coffee K-Cups I had and that I should try Great Value (Walmart) or Green Mountain. and open the K-Cup and pour the coffee into the filter. This seems to defeat the K-Cup purpose. OK, today 9/26/18 I purchased Green Mountain K-Cups and lo and behold they DID NOT WORK either. I am now spending more money on coffee products in the last 4 days then this maker is even worth. Right now I am on eternal hold again. I don't know why I'm even trying. Wait I just got to talk to someone who said that even the some Green Mountain K-Cups don't work with the coffee maker. She did say that the device that punctures the K-Cup may be defective and now I have to email them with a copy of my receipt and wait to hear back from them; however, my coffee maker is out of stock for the next 4-6 weeks and I can choose another coffee maker up to $34.99 when they call me back.
