Short Life Span – back to 9v version.

Installed Feb 2016. All was great knowing I had ten years before having to replace. Aug 2018, the alarm started at 2AM. I reset the unit and again at 4AM the alarm sounded. After pressing the reset button I Could not get the P1210 to stop. I was forced to deactivate, destroying it, so I could get it to shut up. Like others, I"m out looking for a battery powered unit. No problem changing a battery twice per year. THis was advertised as not having to worry about home protection. I guess if it lasted ten years I would have agreed. Can't remember what it cost but I'm sure that at two years it did not pay for its self.
