Shipment delayed at last second, Terrible customer service

Update by user May 06, 2020 I ended up cancelling my Google Store order and I ordered the same phone from Amazon instead and received a delivery date 2 days away from when I ordered. If I had waited for Google to re-organize itself, I might've had to wait another few weeks or even a month. If you want to buy something from Google, just get it from them on Amazon and not their main 'Google Store' website. Amazon will at least keep you in the loop and give you accurate dates whereas Google will keep you in the dark. Update by user May 05, 2020 I was told to wait 4 days in order to escalate my issue. I've waited and once the issue was escalated, the next person told me they didn't know anything either and that they could then escalate the issue AGAIN to someone else in 3-5 days. I just don't understand what kind of company would do this. Google's very disorganized and non-transparent with it's customers. They forced people to work and they're way too disorganized to even fulfill orders. They might as well send the workers home until this covid situation ends, instead of desperately trying to profit off of people ordering from home. Update by user May 01, 2020 I wish I had looked online for reviews for this service, but I would have never expected a company like Google to lie to me. If they were having issues with their shipping department, I can't understand why they would even give fake shipping dates. Even the customer representatives told me it was a mistake. Update by user May 01, 2020 It's beyond the delivery date and the customer service representatives are continuing to give me different excuses, which include the pandemic, no communication with the shipping team, and lack of inventory. I would've expected these issues from a company that had just recently started up, but this is Google, a massive company that for some reason can't help but lie to its customers. Original review posted by user Apr 30, 2020 Ordered a pixel phone from the Google store several days ago and I received a delivery date for 5-6 days. A few days later, on the delivery date, the delivery status suddenly changed to "Your shipment was delayed". After talking with two different customer service agents I got two answers that contradicted each other: "ignore the message, it will arrive on time" and "it's going to be delayed, we don't know when it will arrive". It's one thing to have my status changed at the last minute, but to receive no information on the delay is ridiculous. The customer service representatives were just as lost as I was in terms of understanding the delay. One wasn't aware of the delay and the other one doesn't know what's causing it. User's recommendation: Don't buy from the Google Store, it's poorly set up and the customer service is ill-informed or poorly trained.
