Sexist email flyer
1
Shoppers sent an email titled "Choose kindness. Choose caring." which ironically contained the least kind, least caring messaging I've seen in a very long time. First, it says "Put women's health first." First ahead of whom else? Men? Non-binary? That is terribly sexist. If you want to promote women's health issues, that's great. But they aren't any more important than anybody else's health. That female superiority, not equality. Second, the program is only to raise donations to help women impacted by homelessness. Homelessness does not have a gender, and if it did it would be male. 73% of homeless people are men. So you've taken a topic for which there is no reason to divide ny gender -- you can help all homeless people regardless of gender -- decide to genderize it, and do so to help the smaller number of homless people. The message is loud and clear; shoppers-drug-mart-b105884">Shoppers Drug Mart doesn't give a damn about the health or suffering of men. You literally describe men's health as second rate, and ignore the vast majority of suffering homeless because of their gender. You are bigots. You've lost a customer.
