I had a horrible experience with this company. I hired them back in 2011 to 2013 to represent me with three properties that were assigned to me as a result of my divorce. House #1 a residential property where I lived, my name was in title, but my ex-husband was the one on the loan. Since day one, I explained my situation to them and one of their representatives (Elsy), a gentleman who claimed to be one of Mr. Lindeman's assistants (Alex), and Mrs. Lindeman (The owner's wife) told me they were able to litigate for me in order to save my property and get a modification on the loan. Property #2 were 2 commercial units that as a result of my divorce also fell in default by payment while my ex-husband was in charge. They also promised they will get a modification and save the property. Property #3 was an investment property I had in Miramar, FL which I had assigned to them and paid a retainer) for modification as well, but after a few months I asked them to stop working on it and to only focus on the other two properties. I gave them a retainer for each property for more than $3, 000.00, and I set up automatic monthly payments out of my bank account for $495 for one and around $375.00 for the other one. As the days and months passed, I became a concern to me that not even a written notice, letter or phone call was made to me in regards of the status of my cases. I started calling their office, left messages by phone, sent e-mails, all without a response from anyone, to the point I had to go personally into their office to find out what was going on, but I was not given a solid response. All they told me was that the process takes time. After making monthly payments for three years totaling over $50, 000 for both of my cases, I ended up without any successful result. I ended up losing both the commercial units and because of the fact that the name on the loan for the residential property was my husband's and not mine, they couldn't proceed with the modification, they told me this after deducting monthly payments for THREE YEARS. I ended up having to rent a room out of a house for me and my two daughters. From the time my case was closed they continued to withdraw from my account 4 additional payments (10/21/2013 $495, 10/31/2013 $495. 12/03/2013 $495, and 01/02/2014 $495) which they agreed to refund because they acknowledged it was an error, and to this day not a penny has been refunded to me. I met with Mr. Lindeman who is the main attorney and owner of the company, Attorney Gonzalez, and Omar and expressed my unhappiness and dissatisfaction with the company, NOT ABOUT THE DECISION THE BANK MADE, but ABOUT THE LENGTH OF TIME it took and way my case was handled by his office and staff. They know they way this system works and I am sure they knew well ahead from the time they notified me about the issue with the residential property, because they knew from day one that the loan was not under my name, and they had assured me that it was not going to be an issue. It's simple, I would have understood had they notified me in a timelier manner, but not almost three years later, telling me to hang on, and be patient, giving me false expectations saying they will save my properties. Mr. Lindeman agreed to review my case and give me a fair refund after deducting fees and labor hours, I am yet to hear from them. I don't understand how people like this are able to continue in business after so many different complaints from so many clients where they do nothing to try to resolve them. I know that one day Divine justice will take charge of all the ripping off these people have done. I need to Advocate Law to refund me for the amounts overcharged (which is not open for discussion because it was a management error on their end after the cases were closed), and to refund me part of the $50, 000 I paid to them (of course, deducting their attorney's fees and costs fairly). I expect to hear back from someone.
