I went to the ludlow, ma location after a trip to a local farm. Truth be told I was sick of friendlys years ago but my daughter and niece still love it. My mother had a coupon for free kids meal for EACH purchase of an adult entree. I have never had a problem using this coupon at another location. I always present coupons and did so with our waitress destiny. She said it would be no problem using the coupon. When I verified that I would get two kids meals for free after I purchased to adult entrees she said yes it wouldn't be an issue...oh but it was. When it came time to pay I gave her the coupon and she asked if I had a second which I did not. I told her that the coupon states I would receive a free kids meal for EACH purchase of an adult entree. I bought 2 adult entrees I get two kids meals for free. The waitress proceeded to raise her voice and tell me that I was wrong. I told her to read it. She didn't bother to do that SO I asked for the manager...come to find out he was standing behind me the whole time and never said a word or interuppted his rude employee. After I asked him to come over he looked at the coupon and then proceeded to say that he would have to check with his general manager...I have never heard of a manager that wasn't capable of making such a simple decision. Eventually he came back half way through the restaurant and said he would use the coupon as it says. When Destiny finally came back over she said that they only way to do it was to split the checks and use the bogo twice. Essentially charging my card twice. I was annoyed with this but didn't argue because I was ready to leave this horrible establishment. The food was barely hot. My nieces Apples came out from the kitchen brown and the ice cream was presented in to go cups like requested. Overall the horrible service that I received was the icing on the cake for me. Corporate shouldn't put out coupons without training obviously and the restaurant staff needs to learn not to be respectful of customers. I can see why the friendly's brand is really suffering if this is what it's like to visit this establishment.
