Secureship has horrible business practices

1

So I wrote a review of Secureship a little under a year ago on Google and when I just checked back now, see it has vanished. Not cool google. Because of this I am going to repost my review in as many places as possible. I shipped a vanity with Secureship through ups. I called UPS prior to shipping and discussed with them how to properly pack the vanity (I know there have been a lot of complaints with shipping and wanted to get this right) so the lady on the phone went over it with me and approved it. I cushioned the vanity with blankets and other materials before putting it in the cardboard box. Now, first when I finally got to my new home as I was moving, my package was lost for a month. Calling and dealing with both Secureship AND ups neither of them could figure out where it was. I was the one who figured out they were delivering it to my old address (the same one they freaking picked it up from!) when they called me that the new owners wouldn't accept the package. I wrote the delivery address (my new home) on multiple places on the box for christs sake! Next, when it was finally delivered, right away I could tell it was severely damaged. The box had been kicked in multiple places and it was obviously taken apart and re-wrapped to make the package smaller. Even though I paid for the size of the original box! Now after a month of dealing with all this, Secureship told me I had to go through UPS to claim the damage. This took me HOURS! I had to send photos, write written descriptions and talk to many different people on the phone to explain the exact same thing. ONLY THEN DOES SECURESHIP DECIDE TO TELL ME MY ITEM WASN'T INSURABLE. Uhhhh, what? If my item was not insurable then WHY did they make me go through hours dealing with customer service to get my measly $400 that I insured it for through Secureship? Also, WHY was I not notified PRIOR to them shipping my package? I NEVER would have shipped with them had they told me my item was not insurable. I believe this is a terrible business practice and only a way for them to avoid paying me out a measly sum of money ($400) that doesn't even come close to the real value of the item I shipped (yes I was stupid and didn't insure for the full value because it cost more and I didn't think anything would go wrong). Instead of being a reputable business they decided to refuse paying out my insurance, thus I am spreading the word far and wide - DO NOT USE SECURESHIP! If anything goes wrong you will regret it as I still do a almost a year later!
