Last four flights I’ve taken between Durango and Dallas, I’ve had the exact same experience: I am 6’2” so I pay ( average of $25 per flight to sit in the exit row for additional leg room. On every flight the flight attendants allow people to move to unoccupied seats in the exit rows WITHOUT CHARGE! Every time I ask that the person moving to the seat to be charged, or alternatively that I be refunded my up charge and I am universally treated like a *** malcontent and that I’m a ‘problem’ The seat is either worth the money or it is not, period! I have asked twice if this means that I can freely move into any unoccupied 1st class seat without any issue and am told that is a different situation and that my request is unreasonable. It reminds me of the old joke that when proposed to *** for a dollar, the person rejaects it as an insult and when the amount is raised to a million it is accepted, the difference being nothing more than a haggle. All this airline is concerned with is screwing each customer out of every dollar possible and once they have your money they don’t give a *** If only there were another airline that services this route on a regular basis.
