Scratch lens and requested a quote to replace

I filed a claim needing to replace my scratched lens, that I did. They responded with this is not a warranty repair. They sent me a quote, $50.00 less that I paid for them new to just purchase a new pair. I responded back with I'd like to just pay for a lens to be replaced. Repair center response: Thank you for contacting Luxottica After Sales. Unfortunately, we are not offering lenses or replacement parts for Costa and there is no ETA on when we will. We cannot repair either. The offer is for a new pair. I am so sorry! Best regards, Lisa D. Luxottica Warranty &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Repair Service Center This will be the first and last pair of Costa Sunglasses for me. I'm going back to Maui Jim's. Had the same experience with breaking a lens. I paid to have a new lens. When I got them back they went ahead and replaced both my lenses for the price of one. Rick
