Scammy company linked with Travelers Advantage

1

I'm a diamond Wyndham Rewards member and they recently asked if I wanted to save $50 off my next hotel stay. Why not? I travel for work regularly, so I thought it would be a reputable deal. Nope. After getting charged $1 by two companies who have nothing to do with Wyndham (I never agreed for the second one, which is Shoppers Advantage. The first was Travelers Advantage), I did not get a email for over a week (the rep said I'd get it right away) saying that if I fill out some forms, I will get a $50 voucher in 45 days after they process the request. What trash is that? After 30 days they start billing you $16.99 per month, twice! Assuming most people don't remember to cancel, they easily make a huge profit. I will be calling first thing in the morning to cancel both of these scams. I will also alert my bank immediately and suggest anyone else do the same.
