In November 2018, I sent out my Resume through the internet seeking a job as a chemistry technician. I was contacted in early December 2018 by a representative of the Orange County's World Financial Group. I was invited to a meeting being held in Anaheim Hills, CA about becoming an employee of World Financial Group. I did travel the 60 mile round trip from Long Beach, CA to Anaheim Hills, CA several times to listen to their present employees talk about changing their careers from being nurses or other occupations and becoming a Financial Adviser for World Financial group. They talked about how much more their salaries increased by leaving their old vocation and becoming a "Financial Adviser" for World Financial Group. They were going to train us. I was very concerned because I was a chemistry and physics major who had worked in medical research NOT an accountant or a business major. I had no background in advising anyone about their finances. After about five lectures about how the members of World Financial Group would train us and how we could make a good salary I gave in and handed them a check for $125.00. This was suppose to pay for my training and license. After they received the $125.00 I never received another call or received any training. I am a teacher. I know what training is and what it is not. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. It is now March 1, 2019. When I went on line this week to look up World Financial Group, there is a big article about this group being a "SCAM". I want my $125.00 returned.
