Boyfriend left me and my kids high and dry, i worked ti switch everything over to my own name and did so without issue. Until i got to ong. I called to put services in my name. Apparently, ex had a $400 bill and they said i was a responsible party and had to pay it. I told them i never authorized to be a responsible party. They said "did you live in the home and use natural gas?" So? Why on earth does that matter? They said i would have to pay his bill, a $100 deposit, and a 70 service fee that we be due on my first bill. Issue was coming up with $400. I cashed in my 401k to pau for this but it took 5 days to get to me. In those 5 days, they shut off the services. I called, payed, and requested a reconnect for same day. I was told no but i could call a plumber. Called plumber, plumber said ong would have to call them. Called ong who said that i would be charged a tampering fee if that happened even if i was told i could. They said they would only turn on same day for an emergency. I told them i have two small kids, its currently 60 in my home, its supposed to by 30 tonight, that is an emergency. They said "the business day service is paid for, if its below 32, its considered an emergency"..... they said it would be next week. Now i have to wait. I have no where to go, no heat. Guess my kids and i will have to camp in the csr to stay warm. Screw ong. Next house will be all electric. Og&e treats their customers soooo much better.
